Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church

In the summer of 1970 Jimi Hendrix stood at the crossroads of his career.

With both the Experience and Band Of Gypsies behind him, the guitarist was focussing on completing work on his cutting edge Electric Lady Studios.

Invited to play a new festival in south Atlanta, Hendrix agreed - and gave one of his final performances in front of a huge crowd.

The Atlanta Pop Festival remains an iconic moment in rock history, and recently unearthed footage gives a chance to witness an incredible performance from Jimi Hendrix.

New documentary Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church features his set, alongside some wonderful observations on the changes convulsing through the United States.

Set to be released on October 30th, Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church is a wonderful reminder of the sheer raw talent the guitarist had at his disposal.
