As a guest on The Uncomfortably Late Show...

The Sherlocks hit the United States last year, and it blew their minds.

Able to see the country's huge cities up close, they visited some of the places that had inspired them musically.

It's an experience that left the band changed, and it definitely plays a role in their new album 'Under Your Sky'.

Out on October 4th, the record is trailed by new single 'NYC (Sing It Loud)', one prompted by their trip to the Big Apple.

“I wanna see the world with you,” they sing, before imagining “getting lost in the city for a day” with someone left behind.

The video picks up on these themes, showing both the glitz and the emptiness of American showbiz.

Thomas Turgoose - best known for This Is England - stars in the clip, appearing on the schmaltzy Uncomfortably Late Show.

It's a witty take on the TV realm - tune in now.
