The loneliness of teenage life...
The Horrors

Adolescence is an awkward time.

It's even more awkward, though, if you like in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Escape routes become fantastically long, while the connections to like minds can seem hopelessly vague.

Growing up close to Southend, The Horrors can perhaps relate. The strangeness, the loneliness of adolescence is the theme of their new video, and it's something the clip does extremely well.

Opening with shots of the American desert, the camera closes in on a young man riding his bike. The sedate scene suddenly takes on a new claustrophobia, before following a teenage boy and girl as they indulge in their own form of escapism.

Watch it now.
