Norway's Sea Change is forever moving.
Real name Ellen Sunde, her recent album 'INSIDE' traces her journey through club culture, absorbing fresh electronic elements into her songwriting stance.
Betraying the influence of LA and Berlin, 'INSIDE' was marked by gentle evolution, piercing the digital veil in the process.
“When I made this record I tried to channel the same state of mind I have when I go clubbing,” she explains. "Not overthinking everything, like I usually do, but instead embracing my impulses; working intuitively, almost anti-intellectual."
“I learned that that's where I am able to get to the core of what I need to express and that I just had to trust those decisions."
Album cut 'Stepping Out' is one of the record's central points, a space where these influences are allowed to intertwine.
The video is an intimate, colour-saturated performance piece, with Sea Change focussing on the body's relationship to its surrounding, and to sound itself.
