John Metcalfe is a musician, a composer, an artist who seems to enjoy breaking boundaries almost every time he picks up an instrument.
Hooking up with Real World, the songwriter went back into the studio recently to focus on his next project.
New album 'The Appearance Of Colour' is the result, a work of soft and supple variation which conjures up some unique sounds.
Out on June 8th, Clash is able to premiere something special. Shot in Real World studios shortly after the album was sealed off, John Metcalfe (plus ensemble) are shown breezing through new track 'Gold, Green'.
It's an effervescent, divinely beautiful moment, packed with Eno-esque passages of ambience and glistening guitar lines worthy of Vini Reilly.
