Inwards (Credit: George McKenzie)
A superbly shot live clip...

Small Pond Records aligned artist Inwards recently released his debut album to widespread acclaim earlier in the year.

An absorbing document from the south coast artist, it founds Inwards matching two of his obsessions - tinkering with machinery, and reflecting the natural world.

There's more to come, with Inwards shooting a live session for Small Pond - part of a series of clips from the label.

Highlighting recent single 'Diesel', Inwards is joined by Dave Morgan - from Physics House Band - on drums.

He comments: “‘Diesel’ represents a certain feeling I get sometimes. It’s like the smell of the workshop, the rhythms in an engine ticking over, the vibrations of moving parts. It’s the appreciation of the aural architecture of machines”.

It's a pared down but engrossing performance, locating fresh space within the song - and of course, Dave Morgan is a peerless percussionist.

Tune in now.
