I call you on the phone
I wonder if you're all alone
I didn't see you at all last night
I really missed you last night

Pop doesn't tend to deal in slow love, in patient love. At its best, pop is an obsessional art form, one that focusses on the first flowering of intense passion.

Norway's Broen have chosen this very topic for debut single 'Iris'. A delicious piece of Scandi-pop, there are some dark undertones as the band readily admit...

“Basically it’s about being in a relationship but being overly jealous of your spouse,” explains vocalist Marianna Røe. “When you start getting paranoid and doubting everything they say; listening in on the phone and thinking you can hear someone in the background. And then you’re like, ‘Oh wait a second, I didn’t speak to you last night. Where were you?’ All these stories that we make up in our heads that are usually so far from the truth.”
