An acoustic session shot exclusively for Soundcrash...
Andreya Triana

It's been a big year for Andreya Triana.

The soulful songstress released her intoxicating full length 'Giants', before playing some of the biggest shows of her life.

Performing to a sea of fans at Glastonbury, Andreya is now set to close 2015 with what will no doubt be a very special show at London's KOKO venue on November 17th.

Ahead of this, promoters Soundcrash have shot an exclusive live session. Backed only by deft acoustic guitar, Andreya eases into her standout single 'Playing With Fire', the sparse backing seeming to bring out the best in her vocals.

Sitting somewhere between soul, jazz and pop, her delivery has that deeply individual feel that only a handful of people can touch.

Check it out now, then find a quick Q&A with Andreya after the jump.

Is playing London special to you? What do you think it brings out of you as a performer?
Playing in London is always a pleasure! There are so many incredible music venues and it feels like every time you play at one you add to part of the memories and history of the place. The London crowd is always up for good time too!

What do you have up your sleeve for this show? Any surprises?
This is my biggest London show yet so we'll be playing lots of songs from my latest record Giants... with a full strings and horn section!

What's been your highpoint in 2015?
There have so many it's hard to chose but performing live on Later... With Jools Holland has to be up there. Oh, and meeting Samuel L Jackson!!

Have you had a chance to begin writing your next album? Do you think it will be a reaction to your current release, or something different?
At this moment in time my new record is a beautiful and unknown space. You don't know where it's going to go until you're in it.

What inspires you most as a writer?
Life and everything within in it!

Which artist - past or present - would you most like to work with?
At this moment in time it would have to be Miguel. I've just discovered his new album 'Wildheart' and it was everything I've been searching for... but I didn't know it!
