Paperface Casts A Spell On New Release ‘Mr Wrong’

It features a live orchestra and a pleasingly simple video...

Paperface is a real original.

Recent album 'Out Of Time' was largely recorded in a lighthouse, a remarkably original piece of pop songwriting.

Since then, he's been able to take his music across Europe, encountering a full orchestra in Budapest along his travels.

New EP 'Mr Wrong' is incoming, with 6Music hosts such as Stuart Maconie already bewitched by the startling originality of the title track.

Lush orchestral tapestries wrap themselves around that poetic vocal, as Paperface intones:

"Dancing round the fountain like a King, they throw him money when he sings, you and I should hold each other more, we watch the days go by…"

The video is pleasingly simple, with Paperface using a sheet of paper and a pen to spell out the lyrics in an imaginative way.

Tune in now.
