Kudu Blue’s ‘Room For Love’ Is A Soaring Triumph

It's a single four years in the making...

Electronic four-piece Kudu Blue have shared their new single 'Room For Love'.

It's a busy spell for the band – new 'Healthy' EP lands early next year, with Kudu Blue set to headline London's Camden Assembly on January 31st (ticket LINK).

New single 'Room For Love' comes at the perfect time, a soulful, dancefloor-centric slice of buoyant yet bittersweet electronics.

Out now, 'Room For Love' has a slight UKG inflection in the rhythm, while those glistening vocals are so nuanced in their emotional approach.

"This song was written about four years ago," comments singer Clem. "I remember setting up my mic and keyboard in my living room and recording the first demo. It sat on my hard drive for ages as ‘living room jam two’ until I came across it again a year ago."

"I think it’s really important to be comfortable in your skin and be able to express yourself freely. I’ve had some possessive, controlling people in my life in the past and found that it ended up changing who I was at the time and stopped me from doing what I wanted to do. On coming out of those times I found myself being so much happier and in control of my life and my aspirations."

"I was happy being on my own and then I met someone who got me to make ‘room for love’ and that’s what this record is about. Production wise we wanted the track to be upbeat and leave you feeling uplifted. Fatima Yamaha’s classic ‘What’s A Girl To Do?’ was a big inspiration for us in the making of this record."
