"We are all beautiful in our own individual and special ways..."
Jorja Smith

Jorja Smith has shared the video for new track 'Beautiful Little Fools'.

The title has a literary inspiration, prompted by a line in F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby.

The character Daisy is heard to address her infant child, wishing that she would “be a fool - that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.”

The song grew from this point, with Jorja channelling her own feelings, her own frustrations amid that billowing sense of modern soul. She explains:

“I feel as young girls grow up, they’re slightly tainted by what the media says is ‘beautiful’ and I feel like my song can be a little help to them. We are all beautiful in our own individual and special ways.”

The video channels that Great Gatsby imagery, featuring three different versions of the singer.
