Jazmin Bean’s ‘Hello Kitty’ Is Utterly Remarkable

You'll either love it or loathe it...

Jazmin Bean has shared their remarkable new single 'Hello Kitty'.

The track treads that divide between genius and absurdity, fusing child-like innocence with caustic blasts of heavy metal power chords.

At the centre of this maelstrom sits Jazmin Bean – imagine an ADD version of Babymetal or a day-glo Poppy and you'd be close.

The visuals are ultra-cute in a way that echos Japanese culture while also being resolutely original.

They explains…

“The song is about being depressed and friendless and finding great joy in cartoons and toys and just using them as a coping mechanism when I was in school I was really miserable and friendless and I used to distract myself with all my favourite things and character."

"The idea behind the video is a hello kitty obsessed person who stays in their room 247 and just dedicates their life to Hello Kitty to forget about their problems they become a TV tanned brain dead zombie.”

Jazmin adds: “Next is finishing off all the videos for the EP and then onto my visual album!! Which I have a lot planned for…”
