Istanbul’s Jakuzi Have A Superb Dark Wave Sound

Try new single 'Yangın'...

Istanbul group Jakuzi have shared powerful new single 'Yangın'.

The group are a key component of the Turkish underground, with their debut album 'Fantezi Müzik’ delving into crystalline electronics.

Powerful dark wave sounds matched to a skewed pop identity, it became a breakout success, winning international acclaim in the process.

New album ‘Hata Payı’ is due April 5th via City Slang, and Clash is able to premiere bold new song 'Yangın'.

Translating directly as 'fire' it deals with that feeling of being stuck in life, of going round in circles. It's a song about development, and how hard it can be to find progress in life.

Singer Kutay Soyocak remarks: "My life is in a process of development and I am trying to go somewhere I would like to be. As this process goes on, a personal defect of mine distracts my attention and all of a sudden, I start watching it and that stops me. I am getting passive."

We've got first play on the full video for 'Yangın' – tune in now.
