Alfie Templeman Heads To His Granddad’s House For ‘Yellow Flowers’

Check out the new video from the DIY pop prodigy...

Alfie Templeman is a curious proposition.

Still only 15 years old the Bedfordshire prodigy has developed a unique DIY pop voice, laden with colour and imagination.

New EP 'Like An Animal' is out now via Chess Club, a vivid collection of off piste melodies and lucid lyrical observation.

EP standout 'Yellow Flowers' receives the video treatment, with film makers The Marshall Darlings packing their bags and heading to the village of Carlton.

The clip itself was shot in Alfie's granddad's house, a place he feels enormously comfortable in. The results are pretty cool, too, underlining his multi-instrumentalist approach in a neat, funny, and engaging way.

Alfie explains: “Shooting ‘Yellow Flowers’ was such a brilliant experience as I was surrounded with my family at one of my favourite places – my grandad’s home. I think it really captures the image of how I record, that homely and countryside vibe myself and the crew set out for.”
