Valentine's Day brings about hugely varying reactions.

For some, it's a time to be with that special someone while for others it can accentuate their loneliness. Of course, there are those of us who simply regard the entire day as a product of modern event capitalism...

Gruff Rhys, as ever, sits in a camp of his own. The singer recently hooked up with The Earth, a Welsh collective featuring former Super Furry Animals drummer Dafydd Ieuan.

Working on new track 'Married 2 Me', the soulful vocals of Dionne Bennett speak articulately of being trapped in an unwanted relationship.

Thumbing through Ieuan's copy of Christopher Hitchens’ book 'God Is Not Great', Gruff Rhys laid down the perfect counterpoint:

I'm a priest of God                 What would Jesus do?         The ecclesiastical
I took my vows                       The goddam truth                 Elastic pastor
The diocese won't allow       The trinity's for me                Save the world
Holy Communion                   Honeymoon in Gallilee         Bushes are burning

Out on February 14th, the visuals for 'Married 2 Me' contain some 'You've Been Framed' style moments from weddings gone wrong.
