The Roots Run Deep (Gavin Miller Remix)
Her Name Is Calla

Always difficult to pigeon hole, Her Name Is Calla manage to be both utterly beautiful and openly apocalyptic.

Taking a break after second album 'The Quiet Lamb', the post-rock (post-everything?) group went back into the studio last year.

Based in York, Leeds and Leicester, the recording process was slow but diligent, with the band patiently building up new ideas.

Now the results are almost here. New album 'Navigator' is set to be released on May 5th, with brooding cut 'The Roots Run Deep' already placed online.

Recruiting close friends and sparring partners Ghosting Season on remix duty, the results are typically dark.

Stripping away the arrangement, Gavin Miller from the Manchester based duo leaves behind an imposing, paranoid bass sketch which ripples underneath Tom Morris' vocals.

Check out the results below.
