Alt-pop all-rounder DanDlion is gathering co-signs like they’re going out of fashion. He’s written with everyone from Channel Tres to Dermot Kennedy, while he’s toured alongside UK breakout artist Tom Brennan.
Dan headlined the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds last summer, and 2023 promises to take him to an even higher level. New single ‘All The Way Up’ is an ultra-refreshing blast of alt-pop, a highly colourful collaboration with close friend Scribz Riley.
The song has been a long time coming – the initial session took place in 2016, with Dan DLion allowing the idea to gestate, adding to it as the years passed. All the studio finessing has come to fruition, though – ‘All The Way Up’ is a sunshine bubbler, the idea antidote to the cold weather sweeping across the country.
In Dan’s words…
“This song was started back in 2016 with my friend artist, songwriter and producer Scribz Riley… It was left for a good few years until I started messing with it with my friend and writer Andrew Jackson. We dived deeper lyrically to describe someone that finds you at your most vulnerable and is able to pull you into the light…Without it sitting for a while or allowing each part of the process to take the time that it needed, it wouldn’t have turned out the way it has.”
Tune in now.
