British horror is a peculiar genre. Famously naff, the Hammer studios were also able of chilling you to the bone; making something both endearing amateurish and utterly bizarre.
Tigercats are clearly fans. The indie pop group have teamed up with Thomas James for their video, which is a homage to some classic British horror films from the 1960s.
It's a sign of their growing ambition, with the band's upcoming album 'Mysteries' (out on February 2nd, via Fortuna POP!) displaying a new-found maturity.
Sure, that gleeful indie pop sound is still evident, but Tigercats have broadened their palette, absorbing new colours and hues.
'Sleeping In The Back Seat' retains the innocent charm of their early recordings but adds something slightly darker, something with rather more grit.
