So much indie music lacks imagination.
It seems that reality, that bare description of everyday life is the currency of choice for rising songwriters.
Emperor Yes though, are somewhat different. Driven by London producer Ash Gardner along with Adam Betts of Three Trapped Tigers and Hugo Sheppard, the band's blissful atmospherics mask a songwriting ability which is equal parts Flaming Lips splendour and sci-fi abandon.
Signing to Alcopop! Records, debut album 'An Island Called Earth' was recorded at Ash Gardner's House of Strange Studios in London with Summer Camp's own Jeremy Warmsley at the controls.
Out on September 21st, Clash is able to premiere lead track 'Paramesse To Tanis'. An explosive, grandiose, extravagant return, the sheer colour of Emperor Yes makes them a vital listening experience.
