[crack] accept influences wherever they find them. Crate-diggers, the pair have an expert knowledge of the rave explosion, the furious amalgamation of house, techno and hip hop which gave rise to jungle.
Looking ahead, the duo display an awareness of juke and footwork, alongside a love for the emerging sounds of South Africa.
New EP 'Snapped' is out now, a five track introduction to their world. Clash is able to premiere the video for new track 'Challenge', and it's a head-spinning affair.
Fusing the sparse attack of jungle with footwork's onward rush, [crack] pit their percussive histrionics against traces of melancholy.
The video is bewildering, with colours seeming to melt and collapse in a near psychedelic style.
