Yukon Blonde no doubt seem to like newcomers to European audiences, but the band's roots in fact stretch back almost a decade.
Initially formed as Alphababy, the band's sound – strident indie rock with flecks of synth pop – has brought them enormous acclaim in their native Canada.
New album 'On Blonde' will be released on June 16th, made available through Dine Alone Records and Caroline UK. Ahead of this, Clash is able to premiere new track 'Como' – and it's pretty damn impressive.
Clocking in at just over three minutes, 'Como' is a classic pop song with a twist. Off kilter sounds and damaged synths collide with one another, while the pleading vocal hints at something rather more melancholic.
