Electro pop is a well worn concept, with the entire routine sometimes feeling flat and jaded.
'Flat' and 'jaded' though, are twin accusations which could never be launched at Miaoux Miaoux. A producer, arranger, remixer and all round electronic polymath, the Glasgow artist secured a SAY Award nomination with his 2012 album 'Light Of The North'.
Well, now he's back. Recently remixing CHVRCHES and – somewhat unexpectedly – Belle & Sebastian, the producer is returning resurgent, renewed and re-invigorated.
New album 'School Of Velocity' arrives on June 1st, but Clash is able to premiere lead cut 'It's The Quick'. Muscular electro pop with more than a hint of French touch, the track also had odd, diverting elements – those rushing synths, the dead pan vocal sample and that sighing chorus.
