So that’s that.
Each week this month, Clash has been hosting Electric Selection parties at East London hotspot Oslo. Thus far, sold out crowds have enjoyed sets from MNEK, Wesley Matsell, Nathan Fake, patten and more.
The shows close tonight (September 25th) with what we reckon is a stunning bill. LV and Joshua Idehen will bring their collaboration to life in the heart of Hackney, matching grime-laden beats against concrete observations.
Glasgow’s Sega Bodega is set to take part, while bass kingpin Darq E Freaker will also be performing.
Grime may be the flavour of the month right now, but Darq E Freaker never lost the faith. Garnering acclaim for his own, highly vivid, style, the producer supplied the beats for Danny Brown’s incendiary ‘Blueberries (Pills And Cocaine)’.
Continuing to move forward, Darq E Freaker recently crossed swords with influential Scottish imprint Numbers. ‘Minger’ is wild, almost out of control, with the producer seemingly able to retain the chaos, to spread the colours into fantastic new shapes.
