Pardon the pun, but success is as easy as Py.
Well, as easy as she's made it for herself. The London artist might not be a household name, but Py has already garnered attention from vital corners of electronic music, with the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Two Inch Punch and Claude Von Stroke all showing support.
Working in West London's plush Metropolis Studios – previously home to Sir Paul McCartney and Madonna – the rising artist laid down new material at the tail end of 2013.
Signing to MTDL_RCRDS, new release 'Swimming Slow' drops on March 10th. Down tempo, soulful and evocatively pieced together, the dreamy production is matched to the maturity of Py's delivery.
Throwing Snow has stepped in on remix duties, pulling 'Swimming Slow' apart with gleeful abandon. Yet in doing so, the producer seems to emphasise Py's talent: her illusive abilities, her taste for mystery, for suggestion.
Check it out now.
Py is set to launch 'Swimming Slow' at London's White Heat on March 4th, alongside Mo Kolours and Throwing Snow's new project Alight – tickets.
