Fiona Brice is a hidden talent – but then, that's how she likes it.
A composer and arranger, she has worked with everyone from John Grant to Jarvis Cocker, and performed onstage with the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West, and Gorillaz.
Now, though, she's ready to step into the limelight. New album 'Postcards From' is her solo debut, and it's due to be released shortly on Bella Union.
The composer recently spoke about the record, saying it has “one foot in the classical world and one in rock, but if anything, it’s more like film music.
Either way, it represents me well.” New cut 'Dallas' matches taut strings against luminescent piano, an oddly atmospheric piece that manages to suggest so much despite the sparse nature of the arrangement.
Clash is able to premiere the Digital 21 + Stefan Oldsdal remix, which pits the classical tones alongside some squelching electronics.
