All songs emerge in different ways. Some pop out fully formed, almost in the time it takes to grab a taxi. Other take months of careful work, hours of sweat and perspiration.
IRAH swapped their native Denmark for Berlin recently, taking a pile of ideas across the German border.
Constructing a vast, hour-long improvisatory piece, the trio then began to shrink it down, to remove the fat and leave the flesh. 'Mirroring' is the result.
The perpetually flowing rhythms have a jazz tinge, while the dramatic, otherworldly vocals recall Kate Bush in her pop prime. IRAH explain:
