Reggae has always been a source of healing, but also a source of protest.
It's a form of music, in other words, which implicitly understands that change is gradual, and that easy answers are difficult to come by.
Trojan Sound System are stepped in reggae tradition, having spent more than a decade bringing their message to the world. New track 'Time Is The Answer' is out now, and it's a blazing, skanking return from the bass force.
“Many of our friends come from societies that live in constant fear of bomb and rocket attacks,” says Daddy Ad and Earl Gateshead. “We very much hope that over the passage of time, the world will change and those who instigate these attacks will no longer have the power to do so. We believe that eventually we can have security and stability from one side of the world to the other. Time is the master and the answer.”
