'Still Here'
October Drift

October Drift have put their shoulder to the wheel.

The newcomers are busy making fans the only way they know how - playing live, as often as they can. It seems to be working.

The band have slowly refined their songwriting, adding a glacial tinge to the surface that recalls the grandeur of White Lies or even Echo & The Bunnymen.

There's also a feral side to their sound, one that recalls those frenzied early shows when riffs seemed to chase one another like rabid dogs round the venue.

New cut 'Still Here' airs first on Clash, and it matches that initial energy to something a little more refined. As ever, though, there's a twist to the tale...

Kiran Roy comments: “Sometimes I come up with little scenarios in my head when I'm writing a song. This one came about after a guy I know (who probably shouldn't be named) told me about the time he snuck a rucksack full of acid across a boarder in Europe. It was a completely mental story, but enough to put a strong image in my head that I could use as a starting point.”
