Track Of The Day 22/5 – Honeyblood

Killer Bangs

To borrow the language of our grandparents, bands these days don't tend to make singles.

Sure, seven inch vinyl still gets pressed, but Clash can't help but feel that the focus is on tracks, nuggets stripped away from the album document.

Honeyblood, though, make singles – singes which lie in that grand old sense of the word. Forthcoming release 'Killer Bangs' is little more than two and a half minutes of barely contained fuzz delivered with gleeful abandon.

Out now, the two piece will trail the single with a number of live shows. Set to perform at Dot To Dot, Honeyblood will unveil material from their soon-to-be-released debut album.

As ever, Fred Perry's Subculture project will also be taking part in Dot To Dot. Shooting a number of exclusive sessions, the project will be a continual presence at all Manchester, Nottingham and Bristol sites.

For now, check out 'Killer Bangs' below.

Honeyblood's debut album will be released on July 14th.
