Track Of The Day 16/2 – Pretty Girl

'All Good'

Melbourne has a rich network of club-focussed communities. A city that boasts an incredible creative heritage, it’s currently home to all manner of vagabonds, ne’er-do-wells, and other inspired voices, each with their own take on the club spectrum. Pretty Girl is a key aspect of this – a producer, vocalist, and DJ, she broke up after Fred again.. started spinning her take on his Romy-indebted single ‘Strong’ in his sets.

With her profile blossoming, it’s time for the world to start learning what Melbourne has known for a while – Pretty Girl is something special.

New song ‘All Good’ is out now, and it hits that golden fusion of ecstasy and melancholy that the best club music provides. The layered aspects of sound move between ambient elements and surging house-infused moments, while her vocals carry an introspective quality.

Both inner and outer journeys through sound, ‘All Good’ seeks out balance, a crisp anthem-in-waiting that retains a raw, almost lo-fi quilt. She comments…

“’All Good’ is my most personal song so far, a song written and produced during a painful few months in 2022. It’s about disappointment, vulnerability, and heartbreak, and if you’ve been there you’ll really get this one.”

Charles Buxton-Leslie and Tom Lewis direct the visuals, and the video touches down in Melbourne for Pretty Girl’s intimate guide to the city.

Tune in now.
