Rain may be tumbling from the skies above Clash HQ but summer is, most definitely, here.
The temperatures have been raised, holidays have been booked and festival tickets have been bought. In fact, the only thing that the Clash team have yet to do is to pick our summer soundtrack.
Le Youth might be able to help us. A French moniker but Ohio raised, the producer's hazy, tattered take on the remnants of 90s R&B fuses honey sweet pop melodies with a powerful sense of nostalgia.
Placing a few mp3s online, Le Youth has already become a sought after figure. Flushing his productions with a sense of house euphoria, there's an atmosphere of abandon here which is difficult to ignore.
'C O O L' is fast becoming the American producer's calling card, a buoyant piece of electronics with a soft centre. House guru Ben Peace has stepped in on remix duties, adding a driving sense of dynamism which is perfect for those late summer nights.
