'Heartbreaker'
Lola Colt

Taut, poised, attitude laden rock 'n' roll seems to be in thin supply these days.

Indie bands seem to lack a sense of glamour, a sense of dark decadence, preferring instead to play it safe.

Lola Colt, though, have no such plans. The band's live shows fizzle and crack with a real sense of electricity, while their debut album 'Away From The Water' was a defiant display of garage rock noir.

Overseen by Jim Sclavunos – of Grinderman, Bad Seeds infamy – it was an unhinged, dramatic work.

New single 'Heartbreaker' is due to be released on March 2nd, and it's a powerful introduction (if one were needed) to the world of Lola Colt. Slow, sensual and ultimately forbidding, you can check out the video below.
