After all, the singer's live shows – whispered, softly intense displays of precocious talent – are quite different to the finished article.
But no. The youthful songwriter simply sat down, completed one, hushed, take of 'Heavy Weather' and that was it.
Out on May 25th, 'Heavy Weather' is a gorgeous piece of songwriting, as deftly poetic as it is strikingly effective. Supple folk textures matched to a real sense of intimacy, it's an enormously engrossing introduction to such a young artist.
