Gabriel Bruce Breezes Into Brixton

Sold out show for London musician...

At the back of a packed out Windmill venue in Brixton last week Gabriel Bruce played his first UK show in support of second album ‘Come All Sufferers’. The singer crooned a host of tracks from the sophomore effort, which is due for release next month (May 20th), to a sold out room full of fans and friends.

Opening with the seductive, synth led ‘Sacred Heart’ Bruce’s unmistakeable, lingering vocal echoed throughout the South London venue. Fellow album track ‘Gates Of Babylon’ was enthralling with euphoric racing keys and lead single ‘Metal Soul’ saw the London artist laid bare, pouring undoubtable emotion into the lyrics, “Wrap me up in your metal soul.”

As the set drew to a close, title track ‘Come All Sufferers’ was electrically charged, complete with silver confetti falling from the ceiling at the song’s peak. A solo rendition of ‘Sleep Paralysis’, the only track from ‘Love In Arms’ to make an appearance, ends the evening on a sombre and poignant note, with the musician dedicating the song to Prince.

Witnessing a performance that was spectacularly theatrical and truly cinematic, it’s joyous to have Bruce back doing what he does best.

'Come All Sufferers' will be released on May 20th.
