Dirty Beaches, Tasseomancy Contribute To New Film

Mitchell Stafiej to direct new film A

Dirty Beaches, Tasseomancy and more have contributed to new Canadian film A.

Award-winning director Mitchell Stafiej will helm the venture, which focusses on central character Konrad (Alex Zhang Hungtai) and the distorted reality of a seven day bender.

The soundtrack features music from Dirty Beaches, Tasseomancy, Femminielli, Maica Mia, The 222s and Petra Glynt.

"I don’t mean to shock for the sake of shock", explains Stafiej. "Through all of my films, I work tirelessly to portray a very specific truth that I understand and care about deeply. This truth is usually related to suburbia, youth issues and mental health. There have been so few works that accurately depict what it feels like to be in an alcoholic bender; the fear, the chaos, and the complete lack of control. I wanted to create a piece that truly depicts this shocking and nightmarish insanity."

Currently being crowdfunded, but you can check a clip out below.
