Celine Curates A Soothing Parisian Bath Ritual

Cologne Céleste debuts an expanded range of soaps, bath milk, fragrances and more...

Celine presents a new chapter in the Celine Haute Parfumerie project in the form of the ‘Cologne Céleste’. Building on the brand’s fragrance collection, Celine debuts a range of soaps, bath oil, bath milk, and sprays for the new season.

The Cologne Céleste fragrance is comforting and light, with gentle notes of angelica, sweet lemons essence, petitgrain and neroli, with deeper, more distinctive notes of ambrette and orris butter. Inspired by the gentle and soothing scents of his childhood, Hedi Slimane seeks to capture the ritual and art of Parisian bathing through his Olfactory Journal. “I created the eau de cologne Céleste and its line for the intimate and comforting ritual of bathing. This is an essential gesture that systematically plunges me back into the gentle and soothing atmosphere of childhood,” says Slimane of the launch.

The collection pays homage to traditional French fragrances with citrus notes and added floral scents add a luxurious, intimate finish. The bath milk, body and hair oil, solid perfumed soaps and eau de cologne Céleste have all been derived from natural ingredients such as olive squalene, jojoba oil, and sunflower oil rich in omega 9 and antioxidants. Each piece in the collection has been packaged in Celine’s signature luxurious way – heavy glass bottles stamped with a clean white label and shining black metal top engraved with the Triomphe logo.

“First, it is about pouring it into the bath water and surrendering yourself to the smooth, delicate and sugary notes of orange blossom. Then, after the bath, used as a body rub, the eau de cologne Céleste will protect you all day long and veil your clothes in a soft and elegant scent.” – from the Olfactory Journal of Hedi Slimane.
