Recorded in a makeshift studio with big-hitting producer Gareth Jones, the North London quintet’s debut oozes a grand vision. Earlier comparisons with Wire now seem restrictive – Lou Hill’s gang possesses a gritty swagger. Heartfelt and compelling, with Jones nurturing every last drop of creative sweat, ‘Until Spring’ is a romantically epic album, lovingly pieced together by a compelling band.
