Following the winters of minimal and the fresher-friendly electro-tinged house, 2009 looks set to be the year remembered for giving dance back its heart.
One of the protagonists in this tale has been Berlin-based DJ/producer Sasse, who has mixed this compilation of his label’s best new productions. This compilation shows as much breadth as it does control, from the tribal roll of Filippo Moscatello’s ‘Pagliaccio’ to the tougher drive of Dirt Crew’s ‘Deep Cover’, and even the luxurious aural bubble bath of Sasse’s own ‘Friday Sessionz’.
No hibernation for house fans this year, then.
