Curated by Kompakt Records co-founder Wolfgang Voigt, it’s that time of year again as the German label delivers it’s next ‘Pop Ambient’ manifesto.
Celebrating it’s tenth year of these chilled out compilations, ‘Pop Ambient 10’ is a suitably impressive selection for such a milestone. Putting in appearances are Wolfgang himself, Kompakt’s other founder Jurgen Paape, Dj Koze, The Orb, Triola, Thomas Fehlmann and returning label guru Dettinger with his first material in a decade.
As well as the expected ambient synth washes, there is also plenty of other sounds to keep ears engaged with Voigt’s own ‘Zither Und Horn’ a lovely case in point.
