Southampton four-piece Thomas Tantrum return with a new single – the off beat and likeable Work It.
Ditching both the classical references and The Sundays-style pop of their incredibly catchy previous Swan Lake, Work It struts to stomping drums and handclaps behind ragged guitars and the half-spoken vocals of Megan Thomas. Her mannered delivery is initially grating but as she croons through the chorus you warm to her prissy, public school Bis charms. Once again Thomas Tantrum employ simple, repeated melodies to great pop effect yet it’s not just rerunning the formulas of previous songs. A band to be genuinely excited about.
