The Tallest Man On Earth – The Wild Hunt

May very well be the saviour of modern folk

‘The Wild Hunt’, the second release from Swedish guitar-twanging folksy master The Tallest Man On Earth, is a graceful and beautiful advancement of form, and matures just the way a second album really ought to. ‘The Wild Hunt’ picks up where ‘Shallow Grave’ left us, and is as satisfying as the first offering, if not more.

The piano-laden ‘Kids On The Run’ is leaps and bounds ahead of the album in terms of sound progression, but ‘Love Is All’ and ‘The Drying Lawns’ are familiar finger-plucking torch songs. ‘The Wild Hunt’ is another reminder that The Tallest Man On Earth may very well be the saviour of modern folk.
