As far as classic albums go, ‘Exile’ is up there with the best of them; a decadent and kaleidoscopic journey through the diverse heritage of American music. While the rough-around-the-edges production gave tracks like ‘Torn And Frayed’ and ‘Loving Cup’ their appeal, Jagger’s shiny remastering here refines the sound to perfection.
The bonus CD – a mixed bag – offers gems in the unheard ‘Plundered My Soul’ and ‘Dancing In The Light’. Never bettered, this is the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll band’s crowning triumph. Own this!
