It’s all about the blazing 70’s rock riffs

After the disappointment of their plodding debut single Education, The Metros coming flying back with a cracking new single that shows promise of them living up to the industry hype that surrounded them earlier in the year.

Last Of The Lookers has the five-piece coming across like Second Coming era Stones Roses with Southern cockiness replacing Northern swagger. It’s all about the blazing 70’s rock riffs, but you also get brash horns, nonchalant handclaps and a bunch of boys bragging about being “South East lovers”. Forget the ten-a-penny jangly indie dullards cramming into their white drainpipes, this is rock’n’roll.
