So this is dubstep.
The oft discussed, rarely heard underground sound pokes its head above the parapet Ninja-style. Predictable like Ronseal, dubstep has pulsing bass lines, sparse moods and two-step beats. Poison Dart is the third single from music maker Kevin Martin and features vocals from Jamaican Born rapper Warrior Queen, who was the hypnotic vocal on Sunship’s Almighty Father. She lays on a drawling mix of tribal chants and Rasta rolls as the beats echo into gaping silences. It’s otherworldly, but not beyond the planet like Lee Perry. Poison Dart is a spellbinding two-step shot at the afterlife.
