Doesn’t mess with a winning formula
Sky Larkin - Kaleide

One of the hardest working bands in the world, Sky Larkin follow up last year’s debut album ‘The Golden Spike’ with this solid second effort. ‘Kaleide’ doesn’t mess with a winning formula, instead we get more of the same chiming guitars, rousing choruses and massive grin inducing sentiment.

“I know there’s potential” sings Katie Harkin on ‘Still Windmills’ and she’s right, as these three indie musketeers prove by swashbuckling their way through a collection of soon to be live favourites. ‘Spooktacular’ and the Hollywood icon namechecking ‘Anjelica Huston’ stand out, but ‘Kaleide’ works best when all of its individual fragments twist into vision as one.
