Already cult heroes in their native Australia, a recent reissue from long-term home Future Classic saw Sydney’s Seekae reach a new British audience.
Spreading their live wings, the time is right then for the group to unleash a batch of new material. ‘The Worry’ is an imposing document. Twelve tracks in length, it flutters between styles and potential directions.
‘Test & Recognise’ (video, below) is hypnotic, ‘Further’ retains their live muscle, while ‘The Stars Below’ blossoms with a sense of the heavenly.
An album which seems to seep into your skin, Seekae use ‘The Worry’ to swap immediacy for something with rather more gravitas.
