Playfully inventive
Race Horses - Furniture

What’s wrong with liking pop music? Nothing if it’s made like this. Get off your high-horse and listen to Race Horses. ‘Furniture’ sees the eccentric Welsh quartet gallop along nicely following debut ‘Goodbye Falkenberg’. This one’s not quite as quirky - a more direct piano-driven record - yet it’s still playfully inventive. ‘My Year Abroad’ is a pace-changing indie gem with a riotous chorus, but the pinnacle is ‘See No Green’ which begins a capella and builds to a full band chant.
