Falls short of high expectations…
Röyksopp & Robyn - Do It Again

It was difficult not to get excited when ‘Do It Again’ was announced, featuring as it does two complementary artists of such high quality, with a background of previous collaborations.

On this mini-album’s title track, Norwegian production pair Röyksopp and Swedish star Robyn answer all your prayers with a banging slab of hook-heavy dance-pop sure to take permanent residence in your subconscious.

But that aside, ‘Do It Again’ is a bit of a damp squib. Röyksopp seem content to wallow in 10-minute-long, noodling techno jams, while Robyn is criminally underused.

There’s nothing inherently bad, but the whole venture feels akin to buying a Lamborghini and then driving it in a way that will maximise fuel efficiency. It’s not what you want from the experience.
