Exploring the infinite space of bass
Nedry - In A Dim Light

Post-rock, post-dubstep... post-office? Genre names are for wimps. Nedry’s second album has the grey sheen of London under perpetual rain. Decayed, fragmented music, this sophomore voyage finds Nedry further exploring the infinite space of bass suggestion. Fleshing out a guitar framework with electronics, ‘In A Dim Light’ is a valuable forward step from the three-piece. Nedry can move from epic song structures (‘Havana Nights’) to delicate sonic fragments (‘Land Leviathan’). Ending with the palatial atmospherics of ‘Home’, this new full-length suggests that while Nedry haven’t quite found their way there yet, the journey should be fascinating.
