This is a dream pop combination: two of the hottest females currently in UK pop, as well as a take on the chorus of the ultimate girl band song, The Ronettes’ Be My Baby.
Hell, it’s even got quite a Christmas-y feel to it with lots of twinkling bells and good vibes. Amy Winehouse appears on barely there backing vocals on the chorus, while Mutya carries a decent Sugababes-style verse. Oft-Winehouse collaboration Salaam Remi adds slick and bouncing soul production like a laid back Phil Spector. It should be right up my pop alley but somehow seems like a dead end.
